Merdeka Palace is the official place of residence and office of the President of Indonesia, which lies a complex with the State Palace and Bina Graha. Its location overlooking the Park National Monument (Monas) Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jakarta. The palace with an area of about 2,400 m² was built during the reign of Governor-General JW van Lansberge in 1873 in the same plot with a beginning Rijswijk Palace crowded.
