Lore Lindu National Park, Central Sulawesi.



























Lore Lindu National Park is a national park in Indonesia located in Central Sulawesi province and one of the locations of biological protection of Sulawesi. Lore Lindu National Park is located approximately 60 kilometers south of Palu city and is situated between 119 ° 90 '- 120 ° 16' east and 1 ° 8 '- 1 ° 3' to the south.
Lore Lindu National Park has a fauna and flora endemic to Sulawesi and the scenery is attractive because it is located in the Wallace line, which is the transition zone between Asia and Australia.
Lore Lindu National Park is located in the southern and western districts Donggala Poso district into the catchment area for three major rivers in Central Sulawesi, which Lariang rivers, streams and rivers Gumbasa Palu.
Lore Lindu National Park area is the habitat of the largest native mammal in Sulawesi. Anoa, babirusa, deer, monkeys ghost (Tangkasi), monkeys kakaktonkea, possum marsupials and the biggest meat-eating animals in Sulawesi, Sulawesi civet lives in this park. Lore Lindu National Park also has at least 5 types of squirrels and 31 of the 38 species of rat, including endemic species.
There are at least 55 species of bats and more than 230 species of birds, including maleo, two types of hornbills are looming Sulawesi Sulawesi Sulawesi and kengkareng. Hornbills benbuncak also called hornbill bird or allo become residents of Lore Lindu National Park.
Thousands of weird and beautiful insects can be seen around the park. Eligible observed are brightly colored butterflies that fly around the park or along trails and streams.
Megalith statues whose age reaches hundreds or even thousands of years spread in Lore Lindu National Park area like the Valley Napu, Besoa and Bada. These statues as a memorial stone statues among the best of its kind in Indonesia. There are five classification of sculptures based on shape:

1. Stone statues: statues usually have human traits, but only the head, shoulders and genitals.
2. Kalamba: This is a form of megaliths which are found and resembles a big urn. Maybe this is where the water supply, or even a place to put the corpse in a funeral.
3. Tutu'na: These are discs of stone, most likely cover kalamba.
4. Dakon stones: the stones flat to convex shape which describes the channels, irregular holes and other indentations.
5. Other: mortar stones, pillars and some other forms of houses were also found.
